Enjoy This Life

Every day, many of us rise early and get to bed late, sometimes without even enjoying a good meal. We live from the house to the car, from the car to the job and back again -- our feet barely touch the ground. We don’t even think of looking up.

When was the last time you took one minute to simply look up -- at the trees, birds, and clouds, the open fields, or the buildings around you?

God has given us all things that pertain to life and Godliness before us. This life alone is a blessing, yet many of us are not enjoying it, living it. We are working in it, struggling in it, enduring it, putting up with it, and some just hate it.

As children of God, we should and can enjoy this life and one of the keys to enjoying it is looking up.

Matthew 6:25-27 says,

Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; not about your body, what you will put on. Is your life more than food and the body more than clothing? 26) Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27) Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?

Looking up, is an action of our faith and reliance upon God’s ability to sustain us, provide for us and secure us. It’s one of the ways we say to Him, we trust you.

Looking up is a learning process for many of us are used to working hard and making it happen for ourselves.

But God’s method is to trust Him, learning to lean upon His abilities within you. There are those days when we work hard and sometimes work long, and still trust God. But don’t forget to look up every now and then and remember that the Father has made provision for you.

God has already thought out His plans for you, and made provisions for you; that is to do you good and cause you to live this life in abundance.

So practice looking up and holding your head up, looking for the provisions God has already made. Then, by faith, you’ll see what will be for you in the future.

Enjoy this Life Now!
