The annual Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem is an internationally recognized global prayer event, held on the first Sunday of every October. Each year, tens of millions of Christians, Jews, and many other leaders, as well as, thousands of churches and synagogues around the world join together for the event.
Last October over 200,000 churches in 175 nations were praying for the peace of Jerusalem. The Jerusalem celebration of the Day to Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem (DPPJ) was televised globally around the world on GOD TV with over 40 million viewers The event, co-chaired by Dr. Jack Hayford of the Kings College & Seminary and Rev. Robert Stearns of Eagles Wings Ministries, is endorsed by more than 1200 major spiritual leaders across all denominational lines. The Bible clearly calls all believers to pray for Jerusalem, “Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. Peace be within your walls, prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brethren and companions, I will now say, ‘Peace be within you.’ Because of the house of the Lord our God I will seek your good. ” (Psalm 122:6-9, Isaiah 62:6).
