In a world -- or at least a community -- where we are taught to plan out our short- and long term-goals with our daily agenda books, PDAs and various other reminders of things to do, we sometimes fail to simply enjoy the moment. This moment can never be repeated. This moment is a gift from God. And each moment has a little something different each time for you. Have you ever found yourself saying; “Wait -- let’s just enjoy this moment”; or “Give me a moment”? I believe if we look carefully, every moment in our life stands out, and is special. Many times our trial, tribulation, testing, troubles, bills, problems with our love ones, problems at work, etc., over shadows the beauty and special moments that God has prepared for us. Yet they are still there… those special moments from God. The Word of God says; “In everything give thanks for this is the will God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thessalonians 1:8) It’s the moments in life that may be missed if we don’t take a moment to enjoy them. Enjoying the moment is not to be absent from our potential daily struggles, but rather it is in the midst of it all, to still find the joy, the praise, and the thank you Jesus, with a smile on our face. Enjoying the moment is a decision. We have the choice to make, whether we will enjoy this once in a lifetime moment or not. Do you remember the saying is “the glass half full or half empty”? It’s all in how we see it. Plan your work, work your plan, but don’t forget that when you wake up, you didn’t do on your own. God gave you this gift of life! Enjoy!
